Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She first made an appearance in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina followed it up and won a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, and then a gold in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002 during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She prevailed in the second-round TKO and then won the next two bouts at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina got an UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian, and won Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
